Calling all children!
We will be having some special fun on First Friday, July 1, 2022. The activity starts at 4PM. We’ll be painting plastic sun catchers with alcohol ink. We meet in the classroom. There is no charge for this activity.
Please plan to stop by and have some fun and while making something really pretty to put in your windows.
°°°NEWS FLASH °°° only Monet is in need of a home at this point. Our Gallery volunteer will be picking her up Wednesday.
Hello cat loving friends!
Sadly, the former "Gallery cats", Monet and Mattise are no longer able to stay in their adoptive home. We would like to ask if any of our friends or supporters would be able to adopt them. They are nice cats, both are fixed and vaccinated, and very playful.
If you would be interested in taking one or both of these sweet little ones, please call us at 304 265 5500 (leave a message) or text us on here via FB messenger.
It’s TGIDF!
Yes - it's “Thank Goodness it’s Dessert Friday!”
We are bringing back this old Friday favorite.
Our first TGIDF will be Friday July 1, starting at 11am and ending either at 2pm or when the goodies are all gone.
We will have several options of drinks and desserts to choose from.
While you are enjoying your drink and dessert, please look around for a “sneak preview” of our July show, “Gateways”, photography by Cindy Rubenstein. (Reception at 6pm that evening)
All funds raised from the sale of these items will be used to help us continue our mission of bringing Art for All to the residents of Grafton, Taylor County and beyond!
Thanks to a grant provided by the WV Division of Culture and History, and the National Endowment for the Arts, we will be reopening starting July 1!!
This grant has enabled us to make necessary repairs to our building! As I walked this evening, I could only think of how grateful we all are to be making plans for our opening on Friday, and grateful to continue to bring art in all its various forms to Grafton, Taylor County, and beyond!
We just can't tell you how happy we are to be opening up again!
Thanks to a grant provided by the WV Division of Culture and History, and the National Endowment for the Arts, we have an announcement that makes us very happy.

OPENING RECEPTION - JULY 1, 2022 - 6PM TO 8PM
We will be reopening our building on July 1, 2022, and we have the perfect show for that special day! Cindy Rubenstein is our guest artist, bringing her photography show, “Gateways”, to us.
Sometimes it's the ordinary things in life that bring the most joy. And our artist for the month of July, enjoys photographing the things in life that some may call "ordinary" but its those very things that tell stories and bring those memories back to us!
Cindy has a deep interest in photography, which actually began when as a child, she would look at black and white photos and Polaroid snapshots in her parents' photo albums. She would look at the pictures and realize that behind each photo, photos which represented a mere second of life captured in time, there resided an entire story. Those stories were gateways between generations.
She would imagine what a house, long gone but captured in a photo, looked like. Photos of people who she had never met, made her wonder how they may have interacted with one another.
Her photos are of seemingly ordinary moments, but actually reflect the extraordinary moments that developed off camera.
When ask why she loves photography so much, Cindy tells us “The reason I love pictures so much is because they are a memory of one split second in time but they open the door to so many other things surrounding it."
Although Cindy's favorite camera is her Nikon, it soon became apparent that it is easier to capture moments in a split second on something most people have with them quite often...their phone. All the photos in this show were taken with Cindy's iPhone X in West Virginia, New Hampshire, and California, which are three of her favorite places to be!
Born and raised in Grafton, Cindy has been a professional counselor for 20 years. She lives with her husband, Shawn and her two children, Elias and Violet in Grafton.
The reception for Cindy's show will be held on Friday July 1 from 6-8pm, at the Gallery 62 West! Please stop by and visit with Cindy and enjoy an amazing show - one that will open the Gateways to ideas and imagination.
Save the date!!
