Oh my! There is a familiar nip in the air and the days are getting shorter and shorter.
That means that fall is here, and the snows of winter are just around the corner. And with that comes our most beautiful of fund raisers here at the TCAC - the Festival of Trees!
As we have done in the past, this fundraiser benefits both the TCAC and the Taylor County Family Resources. The TCAC remains committed to our mission of bringing "art for all" to the citizens of Taylor County. Even now as we make our journey through the pandemic, we are continuing to have a limited number of shows and exhibits. The Taylor County Family Resources have been instrumental in helping the citizens of Taylor county during this time, with food, clothing, and even pet food distributions and being involved in all ways possible with helping meet the needs of our county.
We need your help to make this another successful Festival. And you can do this by either donating a tree to be auctioned off or by bidding on one of our beautiful trees. Both businesses and individuals are invited to create a unique one of a kind tree for this fundraiser.
The trees will be on display for 6 weeks at the Gallery 62 West, and you will be given the opportunity to bid on them in a silent auction. Winners will be able to take their tree home a few weeks before Christmas. Trees will be on display from November 14- December 13.
Our hours of operation during the Festival of Trees will be Friday and Saturday from 11am to 1pm and Sundays from 12noon to 3pm. You can also schedule an appointment by calling 304-265-5500. If you don't feel comfortable with an inperson visit, the trees will be also featured on our Facebook page.
We will be accepting trees and setting up on November 12 and 13. Viewing and Bidding will begin November 14th and continue through December 13th.
For more information you can call Joe or 304-365-0604, or Cathy at 304-613-8836 or Mary at 304-265-5144
We are still following our pandemic protocol for the safety of our visitors and our volunteers. Masks and social distancing are required. We are limiting the number of people in the Gallery as well. But don't let that stop you from enjoying this beautiful time of the year!
