The event, to be held Saturday, April 16th at 2:00p, will unveil a sculpture designed by Taylor County youth that has been just over a year in the making.
Please join members and friends of the Taylor County Arts Council at the grassy ridge just above the parking lot beside the Taylor County Historical Society (107 West Main Street, Grafton, WV 26354) as they acknowledge Violet and Elias Rubenstein for their design of this incredible sculpture and Michael Sizemore of Mountain Artworks, Athens, WV for his fabrication and installation of the piece.
This sculpture is supported with funding from The West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture and History as well as the National Endowment for the Arts. Without these vital funds, this intriguing piece would not have come to fruition.
Light refreshments will be served. The designers and artist will be on hand to talk about the design and fabrication process. Please make arrangements to attend this historical event.
