Gallery 62 West must remain temporarily closed.
The City of Grafton Code Enforcement Office believes that we have problems with our building.
Although our building was recently inspected for grant purposes, we must now have another engineering inspection. The board will be having a meeting today to discuss this.
Until we have inspections in hand, and know the course of action to take, we must remain closed. This is being done with an abundance of caution for our wonderful supporters.
We feel so bad for the exhibitors who have worked extremely hard to create our April Shows. We want to tell them how sorry we are about this. We will be working with them, the PATCH Coalition and RDVIC, and Cindy Rubenstein, to get both of these amazing exhibits up and running via social media. We will also be looking for another venue for displaying our baskets for the Easter basket raffle.
We are so sorry for any problems and inconvenience this has caused for our supporters, students and lovers of the arts!
We have been working diligently over the years on our building, to make it not only beautiful, but also functional and safe. We are already involved in working to perform upgrades to our building per recommendations of our engineer. We will now work to meet any additional recommendations.
We will keep you all up to date with what is going on.
Yours for the love of art - The Taylor County Art Council
